Who we are
We are Jamii Child Foundation (aka Jamii Child Outreach Tz), a Christian nonprofit organization based in Arusha - Tanzania - East Africa. We are an organization that render help to the disadvantaged children and young people. We have only one dream, to build a nation where all children and families attain high potential and quality education to improve their lives and enable them to create opportunities for themselves and others. We support with no discrimination on cast and religion and hence all religions are respected. We believe that for true change to happen it is necessary to touch the life of a child and a young people in its entirety.
Our development program consist of not just education but also community involvement, career counselling and nutrition. We are committed to offering the highest quality of care within these areas. Our work is primarily focused on serving the poorest communities in Tanzania and other third world countries through the power of education, employment and community-based enterprise development, in partnership with the local church. We are founded on biblical principles. We serve in the spirit of excellence with truthfulness, accountability and compassion for our community, our nation and our world. We are known for our commitment to academic excellence and spiritual growth, and giving economic confidence and strength for the vulnerable and disadvantaged children and women.
We choose needy families as a starting point to overcome poverty. We empower and help especially children and young people at risk; by empowering them to be part of the solution; and giving/creating more economic opportunities through education, counselling, training and teaching job skills, and creating power sustainable change within disadvantaged communities.
We put children and young people in the center because we cannot fight poverty, until all children and young people have the right education and opportunities. We serve according to the Matthew 25:31 – 46; Jesus tells us on the importance of serving others in need. Who we serve is not important. What is important is that the “who poorest” is in need.
The Jamii Child Foundation primary mission outreach is through its:
– Through Rainbow Trust School – to provide nursery and primary school quality education, and tuition assistance.
– JACO Projects Program – using community-based enterprise development to share news of and opportunities for mission projects and provide job training for the unemployed youth from poor families.
– JACO Family Outreach – Poverty eradication by means of an empowerment of families through counseling and training programs.
– JACO Mercy Programs – providing food & clothing. (To alleviate severe poverty and nutrients deficiencies.)
Our goal is to demonstrate an authentic faith in Jesus Christ that sees lives truly transformed spiritually, emotionally and economically. When you partner with Jamii Child Foundation, you are joining with a Christ focused mission that brings hope for a better life.
